Not even Garrison can help, although I hear it should warm up a bit next week. What brought you here last year? Did you get a chance to visit the Textile Center of Minnesota, or check out any of our local quilt shops? If you're ever this way again, let us know. We enjoy the role of tour guide! And we know of a great guest house for fiber artists!!
Cheers!Bobbin Doctorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09406646998270462008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-176685716195880015.post-17878162715151304362013-03-31T00:46:56.810+00:002013-03-31T00:46:56.810+00:00Hi Doc

I'm looking forward to getting the borders finished so I can start to do some quilting. How are things in the Twin Cities? I was listening to Garrison Keillor on the radio earlier and that brought back fond memories of my trip there last sumer.

Hugs GGavin Hendersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05737186300519027548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-176685716195880015.post-63036877112212705322013-03-30T17:02:46.378+00:002013-03-30T17:02:46.378+00:00I really like your use of color in this design. Even with only one side of the border, I can tell this is going to look great!

And, yes, I often change machines in mid-project, depending on my mood and to use up thread on bobbins. Each machine has it's own personality so it's like visiting with several of my favorite good friends at a party! It never occurred to me how well a piano key would work with log cabin blocks.

On another note, I'm using my Google Account now to post this comment. I'm the Marianne who owns the Singer 127K. And yes, that means that I've started a blog :-)).
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11260517203708400505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-176685716195880015.post-72183117047431002772013-03-28T13:04:48.695+00:002013-03-28T13:04:48.695+00:00Thanks Michelle

I may have to give in and buy a fat quarter which is a pity as so far the project has relied upon leftovers and repurposed fabric from garments. I will sift through my scrap box one last time before going to the shops.

Hugs
GGavin Hendersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05737186300519027548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-176685716195880015.post-39591521239413110032013-03-27T22:12:11.409+00:002013-03-27T22:12:11.409+00:00Lovin' it so far!Lovin' it so far!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11994575359990994574noreply@blogger.com
